The only difference between bring in competition prep and not
being in prep is that while I am in prep, everything is precisely
measured to fit the macros my coach has given me. Depend-
ing on how my body reacts to the diet, my coach will add or
subtract things from my diet protocol – that is decided on a
week to week basis.

What do you do to prepare for a competition? I train hard
and eat towards my goals year-round. The difference while
preparing for a competition is the amount of food taken in, the
fact that I will no longer be able to have any cheats, a cardio
regimen is added to my daily training and I definitely make sure
I do not miss any moment where I can be training, posing or
sleeping.

How much and what type of cardio do you do? The amount
always varies but the type will always be HIIT cardio on a spin
bike or stair stepper. If I can get to a track to do sprints or sled
pulls, I will do those too.

What have your accomplished so far? I have made myself
stronger mentally and physically with the sport of bodybuilding.
My accomplishments grow each year and the next big one will
be getting my pro-card for the IFBB. Other than that, the fact
that I am where I am today, is a blessing in itself --- I came from
being a young athlete to having multiple injuries and surgeries,
hitting a point in my life where my health and weight were both
out of control and challenging myself to find who I am and
become a better me.
What makes you strong?
God.

What is your great weakness?

Failure, but not necessarily just the failing part – my fear is that
one moment where I don’t come back from my failure, where I
just quit and never try again.

What tips do you have for people new to fitness? Stay
focused, stay dedicated, remember that it is all a process, and
know that fitness is more than just time in the gym – it’s a
lifestyle change that starts with how you feed and treat your
body.
Do you offer fitness classes or products? I do online/
remote personal training and nutrition protocols, as well as 1:1
personal training to those in my local area.

How can we find you online? I am on Instagram and Face-
book. Both can be found through my alias @polynesianpriin-
cess

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? I see myself having
my pro-card and working towards that Olympia stage. I also
see myself progressing either in law school or in a government
position – since both are currently two things I am working on
getting my foot into at this time.

Do you have any closing words? Everyone has to start
someone. No one gets good at anything just by wishing or
talking; you have to get up off your butt and make things
happen. We all have busy schedules, we all have some type of
physical or mental demon we are fighting, we all have excuses
we can give but it’s those who put make the time to do these
things, those who make the sacrifices and put in the work that
excels to the top and becomes those people that those with
excuses always want to be.

“ I am in the gym pushing
myself to be better and to do
better is a step towards
being great in general. ”
