In the aspect of yearly change rate of average research input, the between-area
gaps are very substantial. To see this, we calculate the yearly change rate for each
indicator in 2007–2010 and present it in Table3.14.
It can be found from Table3.14, among the HSS disciplines of 211Us in 5
groups, there is a rising trend in the indicators of NK Disciplines, R&D Staff, R&D
Staff with Senior Title, and total R&D Grants, with some tinyfluctuations in certain
