EAT TO A LONG LIFE
You will probably have eaten plenty
Japanese food in Singapore. The Japanese
eat little meat and dair y, but lots of fish,
vegetables, and rice. Japan’s high life
expectancy has been linked to this healthy
diet. The oldest Japanese person on record
is Misao Okawa, who died in 2015 at the age
of 117! She was the also the oldest person
ever born in Asia (born in the 1898!) Okawa
said that she owed her long life to “sushi
and sleep”. Words to live by!

FUN AT THE FAIRS
Get your mouse ears on! Disneyland
is – perhaps by far – the biggest tourist
attraction for kids. In fact, there are two
Disney theme parks: Tokyo Disneyland and
Tokyo DisneySea. Tokyo Disneyland is almost
twice the size of the one in Hong Kong!
You can visit The Haunted Mansion
and Alice’s Tea Par ty, and enjoy up to
40 dif ferent rides. There are also parades,
fireworks displays, and stor ytime – ever y day!
DisneySea is for slightly older kids. There are
28 rides on of fer, and a lot of water-based
activities – including the Mermaid Lagoon.
If you’re not in Tokyo, you can also check
out Universal Studios in Osaka.
