MITCH

CREEK

BOUNCING BACK
Mitch snapped his left Achilles’ tendon and also
injured his back five years ago, and had to have two
surgeries. “I couldn’t bend down, dress myself, and
drive for more than 10 minutes at a go. I felt like
giving up so many times,” he shares. Despite that,
the athlete made a full recovery after seven months,
three months faster than expected. He says: “It’s
all about following the rehabilitation process and
having a good mindset.”

AGE: 25
HE’S BALLIN’: Australian
professional basketballer Mitch
Creek, who was in town recently
for regional tournament Merlion
Cup, maintains his hot bod
by sticking to a strict and
disciplined training regime. The
1.98m, 98kg hunk trains six to
seven times a week, up to six
hours a day. He says: “I have
half a day per week where
I rest completely and that’s
when I’d go for ice spas, get
massages and go for yoga
and pilates.” When it comes
to his diet, Mitch’s typical meal
includes a fist-sized portion of
chicken, veggies, wholegrain
rice and a piece of fruit.

LET’S GET

PERSONAL
When he’s not on court,
Mitch is a qualified personal
trainer. “I spend two months
with every client, and they’re
on their own after that.
If I haven’t taught them
everything they need to
know in those two months,
I’ll refund them every dollar
they’ve spent on me,” he
quips. “I need to make sure
I give them sufficient
info to help them and
change their lives for
the better.”
