WORK PLACE ACTIVITIES
ENGAGE. ENGAGE. ENGAGE Being a people centric organization,
fun is always part of our plans. We make time to engage to build greater
camaraderie across the company. 80% of our talents have enjoyed the
opportunity to engage directly with the CEO over 21 sessions since the
inaugural launch of Chat with CEO in 2016. The Chat with CEO sessions
have been very successful as it serves as an informal platform for talents
to propose innovative ideas for a greater work place experience at
AmMetLife. We have also never missed out on festive celebrations and
the feasting of seasonal fruits.

WALKING THE TALK Annual health screenings and health talks by
medical professionals are held regularly to encourage the habit of healthy
living. All talents are given the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of health
screenings and to hear directly from medical experts on measures to
prevent lifestyle diseases.

SWEATING IT OUT TOGETHER As the saying goes - A team that
sweats together sticks together, it has been a culture for us to sweat
together with our agency force at the annual AmMetLife Inter Badminton
Tournament. Every year, our
internal talents and our agency
members compete furiously at
the tournament which aims to
foster greater work relations. In
July 2017, we launched our Fun
Run with a participation rate of
over 14,000 runners.

SERVING COMMUNITIES
AMMETLIFE HEALTH DAY
AmMetLife provides badminton
coaching sessions for over 300
primary school students via the
annual AmMetLife Health Day pro-
gram which was launched in 2015
to encourage students in the com-
munity to improve their lifestyle in
an enjoyable and interactive way. The AmMetLife Health Day sessions also
include lessons on life skills such as teamwork, respect and discipline.

INSPIRED BY CHILDREN FOR CHILDREN In 2016, team AmMetLife
embarked on a special charity project in partnership with a local NGO


  • A1*SA1Acare, a fully registered not-for-profi t Malaysian Society to
    benefi t paediatric palliative care patients in Hospital Kuala /umpur. A 12
    month table top calendar for 2017 was developed by team AmMetLife
    featuring original art creations of children who have benefi tted from art,
    play or music therapy provided by ANGSANAcare. All proceeds from
    the sale of the calendars were channelled to ANGSANAcare in support
    of psychological and holistic therapies for underprivileged paediatric
    palliative care patients and their families.
    We know that together we have built a great culture at our work
    place when our talents tell us what they feel.

As a people centric

promoting and developing
our talents play an important role to compete in the changing
marketplace. Leveraging MetLife’s holistic talent development
Mourney, AmMet/ife talents are able to benefi t from Met/ife’s
Navigating with Purpose Leadership Development Program.
The Program helps Leaders of Leaders accelerate their
capabilities, strengthen their network, improve their self-
awareness and tackle personal leadership challenges. We also
have an In house Management Development Program and an
Academic Assistant Program which are designed for staff who
would like to enrich their knowledge and skills in specifi c areas
of their work.
As an advocate of Diversity and Inclusion, female empower-
ment is defi nite at AmMet/ife – with 66 female talents and 0
of the senior management team being females. To strengthen our
commitment towards female talent development, AmMetLife em-
ployees stand a chance to be selected for MetLife’s Asia Women’s
Talent 'evelopment Program designed specifi cally for rising female
talents across countries which MetLife operates in. 2,363 employ-
ees have since benefi tted from 148 development courses.
