aylorMade’s Original One Mini
Driver is a bit of a conundrum,
while simultaneously a celebration
of the 40th anniversary of the original
Original One constructed of Pittsburgh
Persimmon (founder Gary Adams playful
nickname for steel), it is also the next
evolution of the Mini Driver. So this
new metalwood pays homage to its
origins only in name, but incorporates
all the latest performing technologies at

best of TaylorMade’s tech, starting with

the tri-material construction of a titanium

body, 50g steel sole plate and carbon

composite crown. The combination

of which creates an ultra-low CG for

distance and playability. Additional

features include Twist Face for straighter

distance, Inverted Cone Technology and

Speed Pocket to promote and protect

ball speed on off-center hits, and a hosel

with 2 degree adjustability either way.

TaylorMade’s disposal in a smaller 275cc

head, hence the moniker Mini Driver.

It was back in 2014 that the SLDR Mini

first appeared, followed a year later by the

faster, higher-launching AeroBurner Mini,

both were made of steel and offered early

versions of the Speed Pocket. And now,

the Original One Mini Driver delivers a

new level of speed, forgiveness and visual

appeal in a sleek package.
