- The Size should automatically be set to small, and the Density to MDPI, so
all you need to do is to set your Screen Ratio to notlong, since a Pine uses
a 4:3 aspect ratio rather than a widescreen (long) 16:9 aspect ratio. We’ll be
learning about size, density, and aspect ratio in the graphics chapter. - Since the Pine has three hardware buttons, as shown on their product image
in Figure 2-16, set your Buttons drop-down menu to reflect the presence of
these hardware buttons. - Finally, in the Device States section of the dialog, uncheck the Portrait
Enabled check box, since the Pine SmartWatch is intended to be used in the
landscape mode, and leave the Landscape Enabled check box checked. - Once you have everything properly set up and configured, click your Create
Device button, and you will have then created your new Neptune Pine
SmartWatch hardware device.
Once you have created this Neptune Pine SmartWatch device definition, you will see it listed at the
top of your Device Definitions tab in the Android Virtual Device Manager, on top of the Nexus S by
Google, along with its primary specifications, as shown in Figure 2-18.
As you can see, on the right side of the dialog, there are a number of other buttons that allow you
to perform other AHD and AVD tasks. You have already used the Create AVD button to create your
Nexus One AVD emulator, so let’s look at the other two.
The Edit button allows you to highlight an AHD definition on the left side of the Android Virtual
Device Manager screen, and then click the Edit button, which will take you back into the dialog that
was used to create the Hardware Device specification data, which was shown in Figure 2-17. If you
