THE BACK STORY
The truth of it... Fighting leads to killing and killing leads to war and
that’s where it all started.
Look at us now; busted up, no one remembering who started the
killing, what I do know is that war will be the death of us all.
Starved of fuel the machines ground to a halt, technology faded.
Two great armies pitted man against man until an entire generation
was exterminated. Emerging from the ashes of our broken World their
children and their children’s children took up arms to carry on the fight
for reasons long forgotten.
What remains now is a rag tag band of fighter’s content on killing. Two
armies have the means to put an end to the senseless killing, one side
must fall, and that’s the way of war.
A beacon started to mysteriously transmit awaking long since dormant
equipment and brought a sense of hope to the remaining fighters as
stories of a place where man and machine once lived as one with vast
stockpiles of fuel and weapons that could end this war started to spread
like wildfire though the camps and settlements of our broken World.
However both sides know that the beacon is transmitting on an open
frequency and points to an area that seems to have no real importance -
just a grid reference on an old map that once defined our country.
Both leaders hastily assemble their best fighters, arming them with
what weapons they could find and dispatch their teams to follow the
beacon to its source. What both sides don’t realise is that they are about
to stumble across a facility that is not what it seems.
