Carefully remove the masking tape from the wrong
side of the fabric. Cut the excess fabric away^11 ⁄ 2 in
outside the top and bottom edges of the styrene and^3 ⁄ 8 in
outside its left edge. Don’t trim the fabric on the right
edge just yet. Apply Fray Check to the three edges of
fabric that you’ve just cut and allow it to dry thoroughly.

Turn the fabric+styrene over so that the cross-
stitch design is facing up. Trim the right edge of
the fabric^1 ⁄ 8 in inside the edge of the styrene. Lift the edge
of the fabric from the styrene and cut the fabric only, not
the styrene. Put the fabric aside for the time being.

10

Apply a thin line of glue down the left edge of the
styrene. Fold the left edge of the fabric over onto
the styrene and press it in place neatly.
