I

’ve been very busy out in the
community lately. November and
December are always busy
months in the lead-up to
Christmas, so I have lots to tell you
about.
I went to Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg
Bryn y Mor to celebrate Healthy
Schools Week with Oli McBurnie.
The children asked us questions
such as: What’s your favourite
unhealthy treat? How often do you
train each week? What sport would
you play if you weren’t a footballer?
The questions were brilliant. The
children were very engaging and I
really hope that we were able to
help them understand what a
healthy lifestyle is all about.

After the Q&A session, the school’s
sports ambassadors took a light
fitness session for children from
years one and two. Oli and I got
involved with them and even learnt
some Welsh in the meantime – un,
dau, tri!
As a club, we always support Show
Racism the Red Card. They are an
educational charity that utilise the
status of football to help tackle
racism in society, so when they
visited the Liberty Stadium to
deliver workshops to pupils from
Sketty Primary School and Terrace
Road Primary School, Leroy Fer,
Kristoffer Nordfeldt and I went
along too.
The children took part in an anti-

racism workshop which involved
them learning about the meaning of
stereotypes. Then it was time for
me, Leroy and Kristoffer to get
involved, as the children led a role-
play press conference to ask
