it turned out it was actually cheaper
for us to put in a lift and a downstairs
bathroom for John. You simply can’t
underestimate how vitally important
being in our home has been to both
John and I in feeling better. But it’s
something that I’m lobbying the
government about because aged care
isn’t the right place for quadriplegics.
y:^ What do you still enjoy doing?
Kerri-Anne: We love to entertain and
our friends and family have been
incredible, so we entertain at home.
A wine or champagne at 6pm is my
friend! We also love to go out for
brunch or lunch, so now it’s warm
we’ll get out and do that. I still play
a bit of golf – although it’s not liking
me very much at the moment – and
our dog Digger gets a lot of love from
us; he’s our joy.
