16: DESIGN BRUNSWICK HOUSE
LOCATION BRUNSWICK, VICTORIA
A unique mix of old meets new, this double-
fronted terrace in Brunswick underwent a
full renovation in just 12 weeks. The resulting
spaces are fl ooded with light and feature a
monochromatic colour palette. Light-grey
slate fl ooring covers the open-plan modern-
style kitchen, while glossy white cabinets
and benchtops give the kitchen a ‘barely
there’ presence. A single industrial-infl uenced
light fi tting sits above the benchtop seating
area where timber stools add warmth to the
modern space. A unique set of windows along
the back wall are perhaps the most distinct
feature of the kitchen, providing pocket
glimpses of greenery and exposed brick from
the internal courtyard beyond to form the
artwork of the space.
