arenothingmorethangarbage.Upuntil1967,it was
commonpracticefortownsin thesurroundingareato
dumprefusein theocean,amongwhichwerebottles,
aquariumsandotherglassdebris.Afteryearsin the
ocean,theglasshasbrokenintosmallpiecesandbeen
polishedbythesandandwaves,leavinginnumerable
jewel-likepebblesonthebeach.
