Length of trial: Five weeks; two
sessions in the first week, then once

The lowdown: RejuvaLight is a
healing skin treatment, using the
energy from red and blue light; the blue
light treats acne and bacteria, while the
red penetrates deeper to stimulate
collagen and improve skin elasticity.
Treatments are safe and suitable for all
skin types, and can utilise the different
lights individually, or a combination of
the two. Some of the more common
concerns treated by RejuvaLight
include pigmentation, lines and
wrinkles, poor skin tone and texture,
and active acne. At her Privee Clinic in
Bondi Junction, nurse Natalie Abouchar
takes you through the procedure,
cleansing your skin before treatment
and applying a serum afterwards. There
is no down time after the procedure
and you’ll notice the improvement in
your skin within the first week.
A typical session: After your skin is
cleansed, goggles are placed over
the eyes and you lie under the
RejuvaLight machine for 20 to 30
minutes - and try not to fall asleep.
The verdict: I try so many different
beauty products and treatments in
my job, it’s easy to become
overwhelmed and a little bit jaded by
what works and what doesn’t. When
told that lying down underneath a
light for half an hour would make my
skin plump and luminous, I’ll admit
that I was sceptical. But after just a
couple of super-relaxing RejuvaLight
sessions I began to see the results;
my skin was brighter, more perky,
and the persistent break outs on my
jawline began to diminish. I looked
forward to the sessions and by my
last treatment I was a total convert.
Intensity rating: 0/10 – The intensity
level of RejuvaLight is equivalent to
taking a 20 minute nap. In fact,
finding time for an appointment is as
intense as this gets; the treatment is
painless and relaxing.
Results: By the end of the six
treatments my skin was glowing and
looked better than it had in years.
The most obvious improvements
were in tone, texture and fine lines,
with less congestion and breakouts. I
will definitely have RejuvaLight
treatments again, whenever my skin
needs freshening up.
