PATTERNED PAPER
BUNTING TO HANG UP
An oldie but a goodie, bunting is a cheap and easy
way to add some serious cool factor to your wall.
You can also use it to decorate for any parties and
sleepovers you host to show off your crafty skills!
Estimated making time: 30 minutes
Approximate cost: $15
YOU’LL NEED:
= Scissors
= 6 sheets of patterned paper
= Ruler
= Double-sided tape
= 1.5 metres of bias binding (this can be
found at a craft store, like Spotlight)
= Sewing machine or needle and thread
TO MAKE:
1 Carefully cut the patterned paper into 6 triangles,
with the base of each triangle measuring 18cm long
and the sides measuring 20cm long.
2 Apply one strip of double-sided tape to the bottom
of each triangle. This will hold the triangles together
in place until you sew them.
3 Find the centre of the bias binding by folding
it in half, then measure 3.5cm out. Open the bias
binding and carefully stick the fi rst triangle into
place. Follow with the rest of the triangles, leaving
a gap of 7cm between each one.
4 Sew all the way down the bias binding, securing
the triangles into place. Trim the excess threads off,
and hang it above your bed or desk when fi nished.
