Thrilled to bits by
The concealed light switches in
the living areas. Double-glazing,
synthetic grass and joinery.
Unexpected blow-out
Fortunately avoided, as a
quantity surveyor was engaged
twice; once when plans were
drawn and again when detailed
plans were completed.
Where to save
Keep the existing floorboards.
Words of wisdom
“Matt suggested we paint the
rear wall dark, which we didn’t
understand but we are
extremely happy with the
result. Raising the roof in the
extension to 3.3m enhanced
the appearance and outlook,”
says the owner.
Favourite room
The living areas, with the
outlook to the backyard,
courtyard and vertical garden.

BACKYARD The neighbouring walls were painted in
a cosseting charcoal to create a sense of containment in the
backyard. Draping plants in the green wall and blackbutt
battens soften the view to the garage and studio. Plant
