Using 4.00mm needles and
White, cast on 28 sts. Work

Change to Fawn. Work 16
rows stocking st. Cast off.

Finishing
Do not press. Fold the
body in half and join one

side, sewing in the tail
at the fold. (The stocking
stitch will naturally curl,
giving the striped tail a
rounded look.)
Fold each leg in half and
join the cast-on and side
edges. Stuff them with
fi bre fi ll and then join the
cast-off edges. Using
Peat and straight stitches,
embroider the claws as
pictured.

Join the underbody seam,
joining in the legs as
pictured. Stuff the body
before joining the front edge.
Referring to the graph for
the softie’s face, using
Brick yarn and knitting/
duplicate stitch, embroider
the nose. (The top of the
nose is centred halfway
down the face.) Use white
yarn to embroider over the
four stitches that form the

highlight (so they’re level
with the rest of the nose)
then using Peat, embroider
the eyes in knitting/
duplicate stitch and stem
stitch the mouth.
Fold the head in half across
the top and join the sides
and lower edges, adding
fi bre fi ll before closing the
fi nal seam. Sew on the ears
as pictured, then sew the
head to the body.
