note. Lane filtering is now
legal in South Australia.
Riders can filter between
traffic that does not exceed
30km/h. They must also
ensure it is safe to do so.
School zones, pedestrian
crossings, bicycle, bus and
trams lanes are still off
limits. And don’t bother
even trying it on singletrack.

Taupo’s Brad Groombridge is dominating
the New Zealand Cross-Country
Championship after winning the second
round at Mosgiel. The reigning champ has
Auckland’s Sam Greenslade nipping at his
heels but, with two rounds left at
Marlborough and Cambridge, Suzuki’s
Groombridgeisintheboxseat.

(^) Cody Cooper has made it five titles in a
row, winning the New Zealand MX
Championship. The Honda pilot from
Mount Maunganui completed a successful
series at Taupo beating Dean Ferris and
Rhys Carter in the championship. Takaka’s
Hamish Harwood successfully defended
his MX2 title.

(^) Daniel Field led the way in the Top End Motocross Club Natural
Terrain series after two rounds. Field was leading the Pro Open
ClasschampionshipheadingintothefinalroundonApril23.
AydenBridgefordwasleadingtheProLitesclass.
(^) The Katherine Motocross Club was forced to cancel several
events due to inclement weather. The club posted a video of its
track completely under water.
WESTERN AUSTRALIA
(^) The Lightweight Motorcycle
Club in Byford has had $17,
worth of building materials
stolen from its property. The
alleged theft occurred between
24 March and 25 March. The
materials were bought with
federalgrantmoneytobuildan
undercover area for the club.
(^) The MWA Night of Champions
will now be held on Friday, 13
October. The move to the earlier
date comes after feedback from
the MWA members.
