HowTheyRide
All the Sherco four-strokes make good

European brands use either the same

The grips were a little tough and hard
on all models, but the seats were grippy
and the plastics smooth, making the
bike easy to grip. A few times when I got
stuck and needed to lift the bike I
struggled to find an easy hand hole to
grab and pull from.
The rear suspension set-up was
excellent, but like the two-stokes I
couldn’t get comfortable with the

front-end. The deflection problem on
therockswasputtingmeoffandIwas
struggling to steer the bikes, mostly on

The engines in all models are
excellent, respective of their capacity.
But,ifIhadtopicksomethingIdidn’t
like about the 4T engines, about all I
can think of is slightly excessive engine
braking.Thiswasmostnoticeableon
the 450; when trying to cruise along
smoothly in and out of trees on tight
singletrail, if you slightly roll off the
throttle, the engine braking nearly
stops you. You can adapt, however, and
trail the throttle to prevent this.
The four-strokes proved great fun to
ride, with plenty of control on the
technical track and plenty of poke
when it opened up.

The 125 is perfect for a novice or teen’ racer You had to sink the boot in to get the 125 singing
