on, it’s the simple things in life that get us down.
Which is why, when we’re out in the sticks, it’s also the
simple things that can turn a good day into an even better day.
ARB’s Deluxe Sleeping Bag is one such item, as far as we’re
concerned.
The sleep sack might seem humble enough and not much to
get too excited about, however, when you become a regular
user, it’ll become the rst thing you throw into the car.
And it’ll go anywhere, not just because you threw it in
the car, but because it’s been made for all conditions. It’s a
remarkably spacious king single, equipped with a removable
eece liner that allows it to straddle winter and summertime
camping duties.
Despite its relatively basic construction – a super sturdy
canvas outer shell, with a comfortable annel lining – it’s rated
for hardcore winter use in conditions as low as -10°C.
If you’re the type who likes sleeping caveman-to-cavewoman
style, it’s also possible to zip two ARB Deluxe bags together to
create a mega double bag for those freezing mid winter nights.
Get into it! But be careful, it becomes that much a part of
you, that you might be tempted to cut holes in the bottom of
it and wear it around all day.

guaranteed of setting new benchmarks from the get-go.
However, the freshly launched Coolibah comes from
an impeccable pedigree; the company being created by
the minds who brought us Cub Campers. Yep, the same
minds who have built and sold over 20,000 campers in
Australia in the last 50 years.
Although Coolibah are backed by Cub, this is an
entirely new invention. Coolibah’s mission statement is
to keep it simple, affordable, tough and Australian.
Rob Grossman from Coolibah cut straight to the
chase when he told us: “Australian canvas, Australian
steel, incredibly tough, backed by a ve-year warranty.
They’ll take you anywhere you want to go and more
importantly they’ll bring you back.”
We recently got a look at them at Coolibah HQ to
check how easy and uncomplicated the things are to
set up. They’ve absolutely nailed the essentials, plenty
of comfort, plenty of style, but nothing super uous.
The two models we ogled were the entry-level CC-J,
and the longer trailer with many more features, the CC-
W, and we were mighty impressed. Both models will be
available through reputable dealers throughout Australia
by the time you read this.
