STITCH GUIDE

With a 4.00mm hook and C1 work

5 ch.

Row 1: 1 dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1

dc into next 3 ch (4 dc), 1 ch, turn.

Repeat this row 97 times. (98 rows).

Dc the 2 short ends together.

Round 1: 1 dc into each of 98 sts of

previous row. Sl st to join.

Round 2: 3 ch, 1 tr into each dc of

previous row. Sl st to join. Change to

C2.

Round 3: Sl st into next tr, 3 ch, 1

tr into top of 3 ch of previous round,

*1 xtr into top of tr of previous round

(refer to special pattern notes for xtr

sequence)*, repeat from * to * to end

of round.

Change to C1.

Round 4: 3 ch, *1 tr into top of each

tr of previous round*, repeat from * to

* to end of round.

Change to C2.

Round 5: Repeat round 3 Change to

C1.

Rounds 6 to 17: Repeat round 4

Change to C2.

Rounds 18 and 19: Repeat round 4.

Decrease round: 3 ch, 2 trcl into

each st of previous round. Sl st into

top of turning ch.

Repeat decrease round twice (3

decrease rounds in total).

End off leaving a 20cm length of yarn.

Thread a wool sewing needle and with

the wrong side of beanie facing, neatly

oversew hole together. Sew in all ends

of yarn.
