MAKE
DUPLICATES
Right-click over the
shape name in the
3D panel and choose
Duplicate Shape, then do
that again. Click on the
lowest shape name then
hover over the blue Move
On X Axis arrow and drag
downwards. Do the same
for the other duplicate
shape, so the shapes are
stacked on each other.

CURVE THE TOP
Click on the top of
the three shapes, then
go to the Properties
panel and click the Cap
icon at the top. Set Angle:
90, Strength: 3. This’ll
give the shape a curved
top. Next, click on the
lowest shape. Again go
to the Cap options. First
set Sides: Back then
again set Angle: 90,
Strength: 3.

CHANGE THE
EXTRUSION
Click Current View again,
then grab the Move tool
and drag outside the
shape to orbit around it.
Click back on the shape
name in the 3D panel,
then go to the Properties
panel. Click the Mesh icon
at the top then adjust
the extrusion depth to
- This gives you your
frst penknife surface.
