TRACE AROUND


THE TOOL


Make a screengrab of the


Tools panel, then open


the grab into Photoshop.


Grab the Pen tool, zoom


in close to one of the


tools and use the Pen


tool to create a path of


the tool outline. Drag


with the Pen tool to


create curved lines, or


simply click points for


straight lines.

DROP THE PATH


Grab the Path


Selection tool (black


arrow) and drag the path


into the main image.


Press Cmd/Ctrl+T to


transform it and make


it larger. Once that’s


done, make a new layer


in the Layers panel then


go to the Paths panel


again, right-click the


path and create a new


3D extrusion.

COPY THE MATERIAL


Grab the 3D


Eyedropper tool, then


click the red surface to


sample the 3D material.


Hold Alt to temporarily


switch to the 3D Material


Drop tool and click on the


bottom shape to copy


the material. Highlight


the middle shape’s


Extrusion material and


add the Metal Stainless


Steel material.
