This is one of our go-

to tools when making

a cutout or any time we need

to isolate part of an image. It

works by detecting changes

in contrast and color, which

means it can seek out the

edges of objects and snap

on to them as we paint. As

well as appearing in the main

toolbar, it can be found within

the excellent Select And

Mask command.

SELECTION

TOP TIP

If you intend to take the

selection into the Select

And Mask command

afterwards (a must for

precise cut-outs) turn of

Auto-Enhance to speed

up the tool.
