The barely
legible signwriting
has been
retouched but
retains that faded,
ageing look.repaint in Turkis.
Getting that hard custom
stance involved some major body
modifications. The engine has been
raised by 2” along with the rear
platform to accommodate the big
rear tubs and eliminate the massive
rear camber. This also necessitated
raising the fuel tank shelf and
modifying the fuel tank as well as
using a Universal Joint to realign
the shift rod to the raised gearboxnosecone due to the engine raise.
The rear end also has a straight axle
kit with adjustable spring plates and
a Beetle gearbox.
The front chassis section has also
been lifted by 2” with tie rod notches
and fitted with a 4” narrowed beam
fabricated by the boys themselves,
along with flipped drop spindles,
this meant the steering box had also
to be raised. As 2” front tubs were to
be fitted custom seat base and cabOne interesting and surviving modification
carried out for the Casino was the fitting of a roof
mounted, swivelling spotlight
