Some photographers like to have just a little
blur to the image to suggest speed with most
of the surrounding image in sharp focus. This
is a challenge and very tricky. For example, you
may want a dancer with the suggestion of swirl
in the movement and the surround setting sharp.
Successful images are produced largely by trial and
error. A tripod is needed to capture Sharp and Blur
together, and use Shutter Priority or Time Value
Priority modes that allows you to choose exposure
duration while the camera automatically varies the
lens aperture or ISO setting. This technique is used
to have a moving object with a little blur in sharp
