MOST GOALS AT THE FIFA FUTSAL
WORLD CUP BY AN INDIVIDUAL
Alessandro Rosa Vieira (BRA, right), better known
as Falc‹o, scored 48 goals from 18 Nov 2000 to
21 Sep 2016. Widely regarded as the greatest
indoor footballer ever, he won the Futsal World
Cup twice and was runner-up once. In his final
game ever, Falc‹o scored a hat-trick in defeat
to Iran to reach 10 goals at the 2016 World Cup.

The “Viking clap” popularized by Iceland fans at Euro 2016
originated with fans of Scottish club side Motherwell.

finals tournament
Egyptian goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary
(b. 15 Jan 1973) played in the 2017 Africa Cup of
Nations final against Cameroon aged 44 years
21 days. His hopes of a record fifth tournament
victory were dashed as Cameroon ran out 2–1
winners at the Stade de l’Amitié in Libreville,
Gabon, on 6 Feb.

40 years 74 days when he played for
Hungary in their first-round match

Kscar Tabárez (URY) has managed Uruguay

against Panama at Soldier Field in Chicago,
Illinois, USA. He equalled the feat of Paulo
Valentim, who scored a hat-trick for Brazil
against Uruguay at the Estadio Monumental
in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 26 Mar 1959.
