uring my Ph.D. studies, I majored in the subject of
herbalism. I have long been fascinated by the many
properties of herbs, continually investigating how they
can improve the body.
You can, therefore, imagine my delight when a
young boy named Harry Potter burst onto the scene and made the
topic of herbs cool – or at least brought some attention to them!
While my children may still need some convincing that a herbology
professor is the most exciting Hogwarts role, they do understand that
herbs, when used to their fullest, can offer many magical qualities.
Though I’m not talking about growing your own screaming
Mandrake, I firmly believe that herbs can have a positive effect on
those who chose to opt for this more natural-based of
healing products.

The magic of herbs
Easily located at local stores and markets, without the need to
travel to Hogwarts, these are a couple of my all-time favourites that
may convince you that magic most certainly does exist.
From a professional point of view, I cannot recommend these
herbs enough. However, these are just the tip of the iceberg when it
comes to herbology. Why not look at those spices you’ve got lined
up in the cupboard and approach them from a different perspective?
Incorporate some of these herbs and others into your daily diet and
watch as the magic of their healing properties gets to work right in
front of your eyes. Moreover, remember, as a very wise author once
said: ‘Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it!’
