20 categories, eight judges, one big night! The
question is: how does Yoga fit into all of this?
As the fastest growing fitness activity across the
globe, Singapore too has seen yoga studios and
practitioners increase year after year.

A Facebook survey shows about

700,000 people on the island

have an interest in yoga—

that’s 20% of Singapore’s

population.

It would be a shame to ignore this vast and
passionate community at a fitness awards
ceremony.

There will be two categories specially dedicated
to Yoga during the ceremony: the “Fitness Best
Elites Award – Yoga Instructor of the Year” and
the “Fitness Best Lotus Award – Yoga Studio of
the Year”.

Yoga Journal Singapore, one of

the sponsors at the event, will

be presenting the awards for

both the yoga categories.

These categories include nominees from

Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia,

Philippines, Hong Kong and South Korea, with

the goal of eventually covering all of Asia in the

future. There are rising stars and established

names, specialized studios and all-in-ones,

compiled in a diverse group of 24 finalists.

This is an awards ceremony that seeks to create

an inclusive environment for all individuals and

businesses that have made their mark on the

fitness stage. There will be awards for Pilates,

MMA, equipment brands, among others. There

is even an award for popular influencers that

promote healthy living and exercise through

their social media accounts. To top it all, there is

a special range of Vanguard awards for the local

athletes, coaches and campaigns that have made

undeniable impression and/or achieved the

impossible in fitness. These champions will be

decided entirely by the judges of the ceremony.

Mark the 16thof May on your calendar! The event

will be held at Zouk, Singapore. Ticketing is now

open, with the option of purchasing individually
