WARRIOR
AT THE
LOUVRE
P
hotographer and videographer Jim Winter (jim-winter.com)
teamed up with model, personal trainer and coach David
Michigan (davidmichigan.com) for a very epic shooting at
The Louvre museum in Paris recently. Winter’s work aims
to shine a light on great historical moments: he chose the
Louvre and the sunset’s light to give a wonderful ‘epic’ effect to the
photos.
But we reckon it could inspire other photographers and yogi
models out there to capture similarly spectacular sights at some of
the world’s other leading landmarks. We already have yoga on the
iconic Tower Bridge here in London, but why not outside Buckingham
Palace or the Houses of Parliament? Or, on the other side of the
world, what about Sydney Harbour Bridge, Japan’s Mount Fuji or
even the Great Wall of China?
“I wanted to share with the world something beautiful and very
unique, a sensation of liberty, while keeping a certain degree of
tension,” said Winter.
And the photo shoot certainly caught the eye of tourists, who
began to take pictures with Michigan — a keen yoga fan, whose
brother works as an instructor in Argentina — as soon as he entered
the museum. “We had nothing but positive reactions,” he said.
Maybe it’s time to show your own yogi warrior and make your
mark on the great monuments of the world. Wherever you live, go do
something amazing...and let us know, we’d love to see the pics here!^
For all you ‘300’ Spartan movie fans, there’s also a video you can
