Your Morning Routine Blueprint

Scripture aloud about who and how great God is, writ-
ing out a list of praise or thanks, playing an instrument

New York Times bestselling author Melanie Shankle
offered me this simple tip: “I am a big fan of writing Bible
verses on notecards and taping them to my bathroom mirror.
It’s an easy way to make sure that I start my day focused on
what matters most.”
Chrystal Evans Hurst shared this encouragement:
Before you get going in the morning, surrender your day to
God. Stretch your hands to heaven before your feet hit the
floor, and tell Him that you want to do what’s important to
Him in your day. Don’t let the urgent dictate the important.
Allow God to guide and direct your steps... before you
step out of the bed.

God time for me is after my three- minute morning is
complete. I go to my favorite comfy and cozy spot and curl
up. My Bible, journal, and book are waiting for me. I set a
cup of hot tea next to me on the table. I pray, letting the Lord
know if I am ready to see something in Scripture or hear
something in prayer. I read Scripture, journal, then pray. I
read up to a chapter in whichever book I am studying, make
notes, then pray. I pray about my day ahead, challenges
from the day before, requests for myself and others, praises,
and then I listen. Depending on the appointment schedule
