to the right of the CRYSTAL layer
in the Layers panel and select Copy
Layer Style. Then, Right-click on the
BLACK layer and choose Paste Layer
Style to copy the layer styles onto
that layer. Do the same for the THE
layer, but if the layer styles seem too
much for the smaller letters, click
the Eye icons next to Satin and Gra-
dient Overlay for that layer to hide
those styles.Step 18: Hold down the Command
(PC: Ctrl) key again and click on the
Text Base layer thumbnail to create a
selection in that shape. Add a Curves
adjustment layer (Layer>New Adjust-
ment Layer>Curves), making sure
it’s above the text layers in the layer
stack. The selection will automatically
be used as a mask for the adjustment
layer. In the Properties panel, add a
center point to the Curve and move
it almost an entire grid space up and
to the left. Set the layer’s blending
mode to Overlay and reduce the
Opacity to 66%. This will substan-
tially brighten the text treatment.
