Webinar reminders are really important, and the reason I’m saying this is
because most of the automated webinar platforms don't have a good
reminder system.
GoToWebinar is the industry standard and they have a good reminders
system. They send out a reminder one day before and then about an hour
or two hours before to the webinar. MeetingBurner and EverWebinar are
also pretty good in this regard, then you're going to want to make sure
that you set up reminders in your email autoresponder service, in your
email platform.
Overall, reminders are pretty simple. So, “Hey, the ‘5 Secret Foods’
webinar is starting in an hour. Here’s your link...” You want to make
sure that they get sent out.
The thing about human nature is that you don’t sign up for a webinar,
and then go over and pencil it into your calendar, and set up reminders
for yourself. Generally, you add your email to the signup box and you
save it in your inbox and then you forget about it. Without a reminder of
any kind, then your actual show-up rates are going to be pretty dismal.
Some automated systems do it well by default. StealthSeminars has a
feature that is okay. EverWebinar is pretty good. GoToWebinars does it
by default—you can even set up weekly webinars where your listeners
only have to sign up once, and then they send reminders out for every
single webinar that you have.
