Treat a little one with this

quick-to-knit teddy. It

can be made using small

amounts of DK from your

stash. If it is for a hospital

patient, check with staf

for any hygiene or safety

requirements when it

comes to yarn.

Needles: 3.25mm

HEAD AND BODY
NOTE: second colourway is
shown in brackets. Head is
folded in half during making up

yarn A (B), cast on 12 sts

Shape shoulders
£ Cast on six sts at beg of next
two rows. 24 sts

Change to yarn C (D)
£ Work eight rows in st st

Divide for legs
£ Next row: k12, turn
Leave rem sts on a holder
£ Beg with a p row, work 12 rows
in st st
Change to yarn A (B)
£ Work four rows in st st
£ Next row: (k2tog) to end.

£ Cut yarn leaving a tail, thread
through rem sts, pull tight and
fasten of

£ Cut yarn leaving a tail, thread

through rem sts, pull tight and

fasten of

SNOUT

Using 3.25mm needles and

body down to marked row,

stitch side seams. Sew across

top corners of Head to form

ears. Stuf Head and body

through gap at neck, then close

seam. Stitch Arm seams, stuf

and attach to Body. Stitch snout

in place, lightly stuing as you

go. Sew running stitch around

neckline, pull up to gather.

Using black thread, embroider

eyes, nose and mouth using

photo as a guide LK
