OUR MONTHLY ROUND-UP OF HOW YOU CAN

USE YOUR NEEDLES FOR A GOOD CAUSE

Made from knitted and crocheted
squares, the personalised
blankets provided by Hug In
A Blanket are shared with the
intention of helping babies
and young persons under the
age of 21, who are faced with
long term, life-limiting, terminal,
physical or mental health
conditions. If you would like to
learn more about this incredible
project and would love to donate
your own squares, you can ind Hug
In A Blanket UK on Facebook.

Over to you

“These were a
charity knit for the
local neo-natal unit.
Tend to use up my
odd bits on a
charity piece, pop
to the side until
they want it”
Eva Calder
Great work, Eva!

CHARITY

CHAMPIONS
The seven dedicated members of Bristol
Craft Abandonment UK are knitting and
crocheting to promote health and
happiness. Looking to increase their
membership, this passionate group of
crafters knit and crochet incredible items
to sell for a proit. From crocheted lowers
to knitted teddies, they mostly work with
left over yarn from bigger projects. If you
would like to get involved with this
fantastic cause, you can ind the group
on Facebook.

Taking Flight
The Flying Museum in Hampshire has
launched a fantastic community
project asking crafters to help create a
mini squadron of aircraft. The inished
collection will be used to represent
the heritage of the Army Air Corps.
You can ind the free pattern for these
colourful planes on the Let’s Knit
Facebook page. Alternatively, you
can use a similar plane pattern of
your own. The deadline for knitted
donations is January 1st, so now is
the time to pick up your needles.
