Mulled apple
juice

INGREDIENTS
1 litre apple juice
5 strips of orange peel
+ extra to garnish
1 cinnamon stick
+ extra to garnish
3 cloves
1 tsp honey, optional

METHOD


  1. Place the apple juice
    with the orange peel,
    cinnamon, and cloves in
    a pan over a medium-high
    flame and simmer for
    about 10 minutes.

  2. Sweeten with the honey,
    if needed.

  3. Serve hot, garnished
    with orange peel and
    PHOTOGRAPHS:a cinnamon stick.

INGREDIENTS
2 cups water
2 tbsp ginger, cut into
roundels
1 stick cinnamon
1 tsp honey
METHOD


  1. Place the water, ginger, and
    cinnamon in a non-stick pan
    on a medium-high flame and
    cook for eight to 10 minutes.

  2. Turn off the heat and strain.
    Discard the ginger
    and cinnamon.

  3. Add the honey and
    serve hot.
