The base coat is a thin acrylic glaze, on which puddles
of darker tones were dropped and chased around with a
hair dryer until dry. Some col/aged elements are woven
strips of magazine pages; some are acrylic medium ap·
plied with a squeeze bottle and allowed to dry, forming
ridges, then layered with glazes of paint, then unthinned
darker paint rubbed on and rubbed off, leaving some in
the crevices; some are crumpled paper painted and then
glazed with a darker paint, which was rubbed off. The
whole thing was tied together with unthinned gold paint
applied with a squeeze battle.
