Color photography, printed
with orchival pigment inks, is
combined with a number of
layers of encaustic wax and
oil paint. The photograph is
first mounted on board. It is
then painted with a combina-
tion of beeswax, resin, and
pigment, heated to around
220 " F (104°C). Each sepa-
rate layer of wax is fused
with a heat gun.
