CLARETS ARE
BEAST OF ALL
BY JAMES NURSEY
SEAN DYCHE reckons
Burnley are a “different
animal” to last season.
The Clarets have four
points from their first three
games after the last-gasp
setback against Wolves.
They were only denied
victory by a stoppage-time
penalty from Raul Jimenez,
which cancelled out Ashley
Barnes’ screamer.
It still leaves Dyche’s men
three points better off than
this stage last season when
they took until their sixth
top-flight game to register a
win, and flirted with the
drop, before finishing 15th.
Dyche (right) said: “We
look a different animal from
the early part of last season.
“I’m pleased with the
mentality of the side to take
these games on.
Last season was a
tough one and all you
can hope is the players
and staff learn from that.
I think they have and they
have come back with a
real edge to their
performances.
“You come away from
Molineux disappointed in
the final moments, but I
am not disappointed with
the performance.
“Everyone kept telling
me what a tough start
we had. I think we have
had three really good
performances.”
Wolves boss Nuno
Espirito Santo said: “We
are still unbeaten after
seven games already
and that is a very big
plus for us.”
