with chameleon-like skins.
The kit would help the
crack troops perform feats
such as scaling cliffs effort-
lessly, while blending in
with their surroundings.
And flying wings that
skim waves at hundreds of
miles an hour could deliver
them to targets silently.
The UK Naval Engi-
neering Science and Tech-
nology Forum designed it
for the scenario of a strike
on a clifftop missile silo.
Defence Secretary Ben
Wallace hailed the visions
as “pioneering”.
Major General Matt
Holmes, Commandant
General Royal Marines,
added: “We can’t say how
much or how quickly these
will come to fruition. But if
only 20% come to reality
we’ll be cutting-edge.”

A source close to Andrew
