painting that reflects those details
(with some tongue in cheek
additions as well!). We used this as
our invite and framed the original
painting – it’s a lovely keepsake of
the day to display at home.
On the day, I just felt incredibly
excited before walking down the
aisle. Walking towards Robert with
my father, the first man that I loved
and respected, next to me, was a
very special moment. An acoustic
version of Christina Perri’s A
Thousand Years was playing, and as
soon as I heard the opening notes,
I just wanted to see my future
husband at the end of the aisle!
Another highlight was seeing all
our guests having fun on the dance
floor. Watching everyone enjoying
themselves made me realise that all
the months of wedding planning and
hard work we’d put into the day had
been completely worthwhile!
