New from AMMO by Mig is a series of pastes

to replicate the non-slip texture on AFVs. These

are water-based acrylics and at when squeezed

out from the tube, appear to be too smooth to

replicate a rough texture, but once the acrylic

medium has dried (and therefore, shrunk) the fine

grit in the paste becomes more apparent and does

a good job of simulating a non-slip coating in scale.

'Arming Putty' is a lacquer-based tube putty

(Classic Type), thin enough to hide fine gaps on

models and maybe also to simulate a cast texture

on a turret for example. Finally, Ultra Glue is a

good, acrylic all-rounder that won't attack paint

finishes and Liquid Mask is a self-explanatory, latex-

based masking medium to cover awkward areas

on a model. Watch out for a powerful odour of

ammonia when opening the bottle. Ask me how I
