daily driver was a ’4 6 Chev Fleetmaster
sedan delivery which featured
everything which opens and shuts.
Some of the later model cars included
two Chrysler D300s, Oldsmobiles,
Pontiacs and a Studebaker Avanti with a
Paxton blower. Grant and his wife had
a Plymouth when they were married,
so he had to have another one, this
time a convertible. His ’ 5 6 Nomad
features factory stock dual 4 bbl carbs
and the collection also includes a ’66
Corvette which they bought their son
home from the hospital maternity unit.
In another garage by the house,
there was a Cadillac fastback with
many options and showing just
4 7,000 miles. Next, it was off to the
almond sorting shed where we found
even more cars. It was a fascinating
experience. We lived on HWY 238
and occasionally, when sitting at the
table would see a ‘50s or ‘ 6 0s car
turning the corner by our house and
we’d turn and look at each other and
say’ “Grant has bought another one”
The moral of the story is: Eat more
almonds so Grant can buy more cars!

An original 1941 Chevrolet two-door sedan. Outside are Grant’s “parts” cars. That’s an
austere ’60 Chevy Biscayne in the foreground.

A ’57 Chevy 4-door hardtop and a ’57 Pontiac Safari.

Here’s a great find; it’s a rare and
desirable Buick Caballero wagon.

A peek inside the ’55 shows it’s pristine interior.

The ’57 Pontiac convertible could be bought for USD
27K while the rare ’60 Chev sedan delivery sits.

Grant’s daily driver is this ’46 Chev Fleetmaster
sedan. Under the hood is a 350/350 combo.

This super low-mileage ’55 Chevrolet
two-door post was purchased from an
elderly lady who was the first owner.
