fact it’s that good it’s rumoured that it may
well also replace the Su-25 Frogfoot in the
ground attack role! Some aircraft!

First Impressions
Opening the box you’ll be faced with nine
injection moulded sprue trees including one clear

sprue tree, one extensive decal sheet and
the instructions. The instructions would
have you start off with the nose section and
cockpit, but I was keen –– as well as a little
anxious –– to see how the main part of the
fuselage built up, as this is built around the
main landing gear bay, using it as a central
core onto which various parts are itted, until
you have a complete airframe. I personally
have never really got on well with this type of
construction technique, as one small misalignment of a part early

on can have profound implications further
along the build process as that error in
misalignment is magniied each time a new
part is itted. Still, that was the suggestion, so
I went with the low...

Getting Started...
Starting with the complex shaped intake
trunking I got to work. Each intake, due to
its shape is constructed from several parts
that leave some prominent seam lines which
have to be dealt with. Not a great problem,
that with some time and Mr. Surfacer, can be
dealt with quite easily. The emphasis is on time however, as they’re
