My brother Michael gave Junior a
haircut and I didn’t realise he’d look
like a younger version of Love Island’s
Tommy Fury! I’m not sure if J is a fan
of Tommy’s, but he’d probably take it
as a compliment because Tommy’s a
boxer and J thinks it’s a cool sport.
Speaking of the fam, Junior, Bista
and my brother Mike and I had an
amazing time in Croatia last week.
Sadly, Emily had to work and she
wanted Amelia and Theo to stay with
her at home.
I’d always wanted to visit the
country, and while I was out there
I filmed a cooking segment for
Lorraine. The kids got stuck in with
the baking – they loved it! I even
caught Bista sneakily eating the
icing sugar. I told her, “That’s
Dad’s job!” Ha!

This week, Pete holidays without Emily and explains why he’s sad Strictly Come Dancing is back...

BBC veteran Michael Buerk caused outrage last week
when he said that obese people should be allowed to
die early so as to not drain NHS resources.
He explained, “The obese will die a decade
earlier than the rest of us. Give them the facts
to make informed decisions, by all means,
nudge all you like, but in the end leave
couch potatoes alone. They’re weak, not
ill.” What a terrible thing to say!
For a lot of overweight people it can be
a psychological problem. They need help

  • not to be pushed aside and ridiculed. Is
he perfect? What if he had a self-inflicted
accident after taking part in an activity he
was told not to? Should the NHS ignore
him as it was his ‘fault’ – like he says
    obesity is? It’s wrong, Michael!

It’s been reported that Robbie Williams will make his
big-screen acting debut in the Greatest Showman
sequel after his Hollywood pal Hugh Jackman
offered him the role.
Apparently, Hugh created a part especially for
Robbie after he invited Hugh to perform on his The
Man. The Music. The Show. tour. Obviously I was
unavailable, LOL!
On a serious note, if Robbie has got a part then
good on him. That’s what life in this industry is about

  • keep progressing, keep moving forward.
Speaking of moving forward, I’m reading through
another film script for the US. I’m still very sad about the
tragic death of my US manager John Ferriter. I’ll keep
you posted when I hear more about what I’ll be up to next.

WHAT A SHOWMAN!

Amazon’s Alexa is now updating
its settings to give users the
option to switch off recordings so
that couples can have sex in private.
The move comes after a team
of Amazon employees, who’d been
monitoring recordings to work out why
Alexa gets requests wrong or is wrongly activated,
discovered intimate recordings. Saucy! Could you imagine
how confusing it would be if your wife’s called Alexa?
I’m happy to keep Alexa in the kitchen. If anyone listened
to what ours records, they’d just hear me cursing because
no one’s coming downstairs to eat the food I’ve cooked!

I can’t believe it’s that time
of the year again – Strictly’s
back! I’m always a bit
sad when the line-up is
announced because it
means summer is nearly over.
This year, celebs including TV
presenter Anneka Rice, rower James
Cracknell, chef and model Emma
Thynn and YouTuber Saffron
Barker are taking part. Viewers
are saying it’s the worst
line-up ever and are
threatening to switch off.
Listen, from someone
who has experienced
the show, it doesn’t
end up being about
the names, it’s about
the journey and the
entertainment. So
many people come out
of the show even
bigger stars, so
let’s give it
a chance.
