RACING HANDBOOK
RACING AHEADISSUE 178
A new book from the Racing Ahead Systems
stable has finally arrived
POINTERS
TO PROFIT
M
ANY trainers are crea-
tures of habit and there
are profits to be made
from identifying patterns
in how they campaign
their horses.
A new book from the author of
Racing Ahead Super Systems 1 and 2
attempts to bring together many of
these profitable patterns in an easy
format.
They have come up with the Racing
Handbook which is intended to be
referred to on a daily basis as you
make your selections through the Flat
season.
There is a page for each course
where you will find profit pointers that
can quickly highlight winning bets.
For example, at Ascot it pays to
back favourites when they are trained
by Mark Johnston as 50% of them
have won since 2004 when we started
keeping records.
There are hundreds of facts like that
in the book — you can see them as a
series of mini-systems or just extra
information in your armoury.
Every profit pointer needs a mini-
mum of 20 qualifying bets to make the
book and most of them have a lot
more.
So the pointers are not just based on
a couple of runners. All profit reports
in this section are to £10 stakes at SP.
Also included are the top
jockey/trainer teams at each track so
you can see when a jockey booking
has been significant in the past.
The vast majority of the information
in the book just requires your daily
newspaper’s racecards or those avail-
able on many free websites.
There are a couple of sections at the
back of the book that require slightly
more information available from a free
website such as At The Races.
In Owners For Courses, they have
looked at where owners have had suc-
cess along with how to make good
profits following sires in Pedigree
Pointers.
To give you an idea of the pointers
that are included, here is the informa-
tion provided for Haydock Park.
