3. Referring to Diagram 12, lay out
   one leaf row, four small triangle-
   squares, and 26 orange print 1^1 ⁄ 2 "
   squares in six rows. Sew together
   pieces in rows. Join rows to make a
   patchwork pumpkin unit. The unit
   should be 6^1 ⁄ 2 " square including seam
   allowances. Repeat to make a second
   patchwork pumpkin unit.


4. Referring to Diagram 13, sew
   light brown C side units to opposite
   edges of a patchwork pumpkin unit.
   Join brown large triangle-squares to
   opposite ends of two light brown C
   side units; sew to remaining edges
   to make a Block C. The block should
   be 12^1 ⁄ 2 " square including seam
   allowances. Repeat to make a second
   C block.

ASSEMBLE SASHING UNITS

1. Sew together two off-white print
   1 1 ⁄ 2 ×42" strips and one orange print
   1 1 ⁄ 2 ×42" strip to make Sashing Strip Set
   (Diagram 14). Repeat to make six strip
   sets total.


2. Cut strip sets into seventeen 12^1 ⁄ 2 "-
   wide sashing units.

ASSEMBLE NINE-PATCH UNITS

1. Referring to Diagram 15, sew
   together two brown floral 1^1 ⁄ 2 ×21"
   strips and one off-white print 1^1 ⁄ 2 ×21"
   strip to make Strip Set A. Cut strip set
   into twelve 1^1 ⁄ 2 "-wide A units.


2. Referring to Diagram 16, sew
   together two off-white print 1^1 ⁄ 2 ×21"
   strips and remaining brown floral
   1 1 ⁄ 2 ×21" strip to make Strip Set B. Cut
   strip set into six 1^1 ⁄ 2 "-wide B units.
