Moto2
Moto2 started with the usual flurry of madness. The
pole-setter, Alex Marquez, on the Marc VDS Kalex bike
had a few initial scuffles, but just like his elder sibling
soon got into a rhythm and that was that.
However, for the remaining two spots on the podium
there was a tremendous fight among three riders: Brad
Binder on his Red Bull KTM Ajo, Marcel Schrotter on
the Dynavolt Intact GP Kalex, and Iker Lecuona on the
American racing KTM. These three kept swapping and switchingplaces,slidingtheir765-ccMoto2
motorcycles on the inside of each other with block passes galore.
However, with one lap to go, Iker Lecuona overcooked it and ended up in the gravel. This left
Binder and Schrotter fighting it out for second. In the end, Binder got the better of the German, taking
second place, with Marcus Schrotter making up the podium in third.
The championship has
Marquez leading it, followed by
Thomas Luthi and Augusto
Fernandez. Both of them finished
fifth and sixth respectively;
however, the season is far from
over and the top three are fairly
close so far as championship
points are concerned.Moto2Result

After an insane race in Assen, the Moto3 category
once again had its fill of lunacy in Germany. These
guys were often going three abreast into corners and
one can never tell who might win.
In Assen, Lorenzo Dalla Porta of the Leopard
Racing team got the better of everyone as he rode a
stellar race. In Germany, however, it was his
compatriot, Romano Fenati of VNE Snipers Honda
team, who started things off by sticking in the lead
for a major part of the race. The Moto3, though,
looked more like the Pelaton in the Tour de France
and Fenati was soon eaten up by the group. After
which we saw a fight between Marcos Ramirez of
Leopard Racing and the two championship leaders,
Sterilgarda Max Racing Team’s Aron
Canet and championship leader
Dalla Porta.
Once again Dalla Porta came out on
top, strengthening his hold on the
championship. He was followed by
teammate Marcos Ramirez and
championship rival Aron Canet
who took second and third
respectively.
