(vip2019) #1

its unprecedented speed and transport efficiency, with
its 18-tonne carrying capacity designed for extremely
demanding purposes and conditions.
Rounding out the gang will be the Ponsse Buffalo – a
genuine all-round general forwarder which feels at home
both at regeneration felling and thinning sites – and the
extremely efficient Ponsse Wisent.
Leading the charge into the trees for the harvesters
will be the eight-wheeled Ponsse Ergo, highly regarded
for its excellent stability and tractive force when working
on slopes and in other demanding terrain. The six-wheel
Ergo is an agile mover whose patented active suspension
balances the bumps experienced in the cabin while
driving.
Backing up the Ergo will be the new Ponsse Cobra
harvester, a versatile and efficient tool for varying
conditions, making it an excellent choice for an
entrepreneur who needs one machine for all logging sites.
And all harvester drivers should make a point of catching
the Ponsse Scorpion King in action, bearing witness to its
incredible stability, power and productivity. The Scorpion
King has been designed to take ergonomics in harvesting
to a whole new level, setting the future standard for the
driver’s working environment.

TIGERCAT
Purpose-built for severe forest duty, the LH822D harvester
is certain to put on a great display for Tigercat. A compact
and powerful tracked harvester, it offers performance
and durability advantages over excavator conversions.
However, it won’t be the only machine putting on a show
for the innovative manufacturer.
Joining the LH822D in the harvesting area will be the
durable and reliable H855E, designed for demanding
harvesting and roadside processing applications, and
the LH855E, a high-performance levelling harvester for
steep-slope harvesting. All three will be fitted with Log
Max 7000Twin harvesting heads, featuring twin bottom
delimbing knives – an ideal choice for large tracked
carriers.
The Tigercat LH845D Harvester will also be out in force,
with a Logmax 7000XT fixed head, specifically designed
for harvesting trees near live power lines (certain to prove
particularly useful at the demo site).
Also at work over the two days will be the Tigercat 615
skidder – a quick, compact six-wheel-drive skidder best

suited to extremely soft or steep terrain – and the 1075, a
20-tonne log forwarder designed for demanding, high-
production cut-to-length applications.
Static machines available for visitors to get a much
closer look at will include the 1075, LH822D, LH855 with
Log Max 10000XT, Log Max 12000XT and the new Log
Max 6000V.
