RAINBOW PROFESSIONAL

DURING Forestry Expo Scotland 2019,
RC Dalgliesh will be displaying a range
of Husqvarna XP chainsaws, PPE and
accessories.
It will also have special deals on offer,
as well as some wooden carvings by Sam
Bowsher from Chip Off the Old Block
chainsaw carving.
As part of its aftersales, RC Dalgliesh offer
servicing, parts, lubricants and advice on all
forestry needs, so customers new and old
are encouraged to visit the stand to view its
line-up of products in their natural setting.

SPIRAL tree guards, manufactured in the
UK by Rainbow Professional, are used
extensively around the world for protecting
young trees against browsing animals such
as rabbits, hares, sheep and deer.
They offer protection at a very low unit
cost but are also very simple to install,
usually used with a low-cost bamboo cane
for more support. This makes them the most
cost-efficient way of protecting young trees
from both chemical herbicides and browsing
wildlife compared to other techniques such
as tree shelters or fencing.
Rainbow Professional has now started
to manufacture spiral tree guards that are
100 per cent biodegradable. Rainbow
Professional fully recognises the growing
desire to reduce and even stop the use of
standard plastics in the forests and has been

instrumental in several field trials across
Europe using biodegradable materials for a
variety of tree and seedling protection as well
as for tree-tying applications.
Visitors to Forestry Expo will be able to
examine the spiral tree guards and discuss
their tree-protection needs at the Rainbow
Professional stand.

TIMBER Opportunities will be giving live
demos of the new Logosol B1001 bandsaw
mill at Forestry Expo.
The bandsaw can handle logs up to 85
cm in diameter and 4.8 m in length, with
extensions available.
The company will also be showing its
portable F2 Farmer’s chainsaw mill, which
can mill logs up to 60 cm in diameter.

AVOIDING radio
interference – an
issue with some LED
lights – is definitely
possible by fitting the
new light range stocked
by Cheshire-based UTV
Products.
Its LED light range
complies with the
electrical interference standard of CISPR25-
CLASS4 and is vibration tested to 15 g,
with a choice of 3200, 5100 or 7600 lumen
outputs available.
All are ruggedly built with outstanding
performance and waterproof connectors in
the casing, making this light an ideal fitment
for medium-to-large-scale machines working
in harsh environments.
The company’s Martin Wickes said:
“LED lighting upgrades are our passion,
so please come visit us at Forestry Expo
Scotland, where visitors are guaranteed one
of the largest ranges of quality work lights
at sensible prices.”
